Athletics Day( Long Jump)

The girls walked slowly towards the long jump pit and waited noisily for the boys to finish.  I felt really nervous while I was sitting on the hard concrete.  

Suddenly, the sun looked at me in the way of a mind master and gave me a huge friendly smile, but it still can’t make me feel brave.  It is my turn to jump now, my whole body trembled with fear.  I ran as fast as i can , stepped on the mat, feeling the soft white sand on my feet as I landed and heard Mrs Milne  saying “ Orange Cone!”.

With a terrified feeling, I can see the shadow of me tracking towards the Orange cone and sat beside it.  Again, I was down on the burnt concrete , with a slightly different feeling from last time.  I thought in my heart: “ orange cone’’ means “failed”!

     1976, in California shearwood Intermediate, a Interesting story Began to play.

shearwood intermediate is a old smelly place,  In this strange school, a 12yrs old girl called April is very famous.  As many people think, people are famous for being smart and pretty, But this poor April was famous for being very ugly.  No body like her except her friendly neighbour, but she had moved and gone to another country.

Since she had no one to play with, April started to find friend.  But no one wanted to be friend with a ugly girl, every time when April came up and asked, all of her classmates just walked away.

The last person that April can find will be the 3 Fancy Girls but April is scared to ask them.  But the brave April still went up to ask them, She said : “ I don't have a friend now, can I play with you? ”   Fancy girl No. 1 kathleen replied: “ You? Are you kidding me, April Didimus? You are the ugliest , stupidest girl in the whole entire school...  Who would want to play with you?  What do you think, Mary and Jane?  Both of them don’t want to play with a ugly , stupid girl who doesn't know anything about beauty, so Mary and Jane agreed with Kathleen.  April didn’t say anything, she walked to a small corner and sat down.

After a few weeks, there is a new girl in April’s class, her name is Juliet.  Juliet also don’t have someone who like her, so she started to find friends just like April did. One day April told Juliet her awful story, Juliet felt really sad for her so she decided to be April's best friend. Juliet even made April forget about the mean 3  fancy girls and let Kathleen, Mary & Jane said sorry to April.  April really liked Juliet, Juliet really like April & the 3 mean girls turned to the 3 kindgirls ! ! ! ! !

How did the fantail got its fan

Once long long ago, in a hot dessert, there was no food and no water.

Animals and humans starving to death.  They gave up living in the poor desert.

Some poor people even tried to kill themselves, and most of the animals are dying without food and water.

    Suddenly, 1 of the sparrow think that she need to help her friends and family to survive.

So she decided to find some food in the richest village in the whole country.  The village is very far away from home,but for everybody’s life, she still flew to the village.

  After 1 day, the sparrow felt tired flying , so she flew slower than she was when she started at the beginning .

   Suddenly, a hunter came to find some animal to eat.  He saw the sparrow flying slow, his eyes shined, it looks like that his saying ‘’ That bird is stupid and fat, It must be very yummy! ‘’  The poor sparrow realised the dangerous, she flew faster to escape from the hunter.  The hunter still hitted her, she felt it very painful but she need to get to the village.  The poor sparrow kept on flying , just in a different speed because she couldn’t fly that fast since she had been hitted by the hunter.

   Finally after 2 days of flying, she arrived the village. The people living in the village is greedy and rich, they throw small leftover the poor sparrow to have some food and not rest in their village and houses.

   After a while, she woke up and started to tell all the things that happened in the desert to the king of the village.  He agreed to give some food to the sparrow and he even carried all the food to the desert that the sparrow lived in.

    When the food arrived home, everyone in the desert thanked the king.  After he goes, some people think that they should give the sparrow a fan as a reward.  The other sparrows want the fan too, so they also went to find some food.  But the humans thought only the first sparrow who went to find food is kind, the other ones went just for the fan.  So they went to TIKI MATU - the god of desert to ask if he could put a fan on the sparrow’s tail.

    TIKI really appreciate her work, so he agreed. He used his magic to make a fan and let the sparrow come to him and tried the fan.  She thought it is very good but she also wanted her friends to have fans too.  Tiki thought that she is very friendly so he maked the fan for all the sparrows in the desert.

  So now all the sparrows( I mean fantails) got it’s fan.

  Now the poor desert became a forest, for sparrows ( fantails ) to live happily in the rest of their life.

The best summer ever

Once there was a girl called Sofia Who went to school at Pinehill. One day , the teacher said there will be no school for three weeks and it is our summer holiday !

Sofia called sally in the phone “ Hi Sally , I’ m planning to have a beach party in the holidays ! “

Sally answer in the Phone “ Yeah , that’s a good idea and we can also invite our friend ! “

Sally went to Sofia’s home and they wrote the invitation card.

Sofia’s mom cooked many delicious food and let Sally and Sofia  bring it to the Party . . .  . . .

Everyone bought delicious food and they enjoyed the party!

Somebody brought dessert, but most of them brought their traditional food from their own country.

Jake has brought the Japanese food - Sushi .

Marina has brought the Korean food - Rice Cake .

Wendy has brought the Chinese Food - Dumplings .

Tina has brought some dessert for the party .

ANZAC DAY

Anzac day

In the early morning with a low temperature,the Anzac parade begins.

The soldier who had been to the war came, everyone of them had poppies on their clothes. Some of them use a walking stick and some of them have a wheelchair, soldiers also stand like statues by their walking stick.

They felt very sad because they lost many of their mascots and friends. They had tears filling their eyes. They stood up straight and had their had their head high, they thought about the stirring memories which had been happened in the war.
